Woodworm Removal

For those dealing with woodworm issues in their furniture we offer a non-chemical woodworm service that is guaranteed to kill any pests in your furniture.

We use a large kiln which we heat up to 70°C and leave your furniture in there for up to 24 hours to ensure that even the thickest items have time to get up to temperature. This process effectively pasteurises your furniture as woodworm and their eggs cannot survive in temperatures over 60°C. The temperature is hot enough to kill them but not hot enough to damage wood, varnishes, or epoxies.

The price includes the full volume of the kiln so you can include many items in one load. The kiln is 4.2 by 2.0 meters and 1.7 meters high. Please be aware that the kiln requires sufficient empty space for airflow so it cannot be completely packed.

You will need to arrange your own transport for your furniture to and from the kiln, which is just outside Wrexham. The whole process will take 2-3 days as the furniture needs to be stacked before heating and it will also need time to cool down afterwards.
