Rustic Wooden Live Edged Bench With Back And Arms

This rustic bench has a unique colour and shape that follows the natural curve of the wood with a live-edge detail across the top. It has a trapezium shaped seat to allow for more leg room and a more pleasing appearance and seats at least two large adults comfortably. 

These rustic benches are handcrafted by Damien Devereux who is registered blind, with over 5 years experience as a carpenter. All wood is kiln-dried timber, sourced from a local sustainable woodland. Kiln dry wood is much more stable and unlikely to warp as it ages.

Order size refers to the width of the back. Please expect the front of the bench to be ~30cm wider than the back. A 1 metre bench will seat ~2 people, and a 1.5 metre will fit ~3 people.

Drainage holes have been included at the back of the seat to ensure water does not pool. To ensure their durability for outdoor use, the benches are treated with Exterior Oil to bring out the grain and protect the wood, though the bench will need re-coating once a year. An optional hardier coating of varnish is also available for added protection and a smoother finish which will not need re-coating unless damaged.

Legs are constructed from round peeled poles and may contain splits from the drying process; these do not affect the structural stability. Delivery is free within 100 miles of Wrexham, customer to pay £1 per mile thereafter or collection from the workshop is also available.
